The November 2025 issue of T&D World magazine highlights how Eversource Energy, New England’s largest energy delivery company, is transforming its workforce training with mobile digital learning tools from Index AR Solutions. The feature article, authored by Alex Chasson-Colebourn, Director of Technical Training at Eversource, highlights how eBooks and mobile applications developed in partnership with Index are helping the utility modernize training across its electric and gas operations.

The article describes how Eversource began collaborating with Index AR Solutions in 2022 to introduce a library of multimodal training applications that combine visual, auditory, and interactive content. These tools are helping workers learn faster, retain information more effectively, and safely practice complex tasks before performing them in the field.

By the end of 2026, Eversource expects to have deployed approximately 85 Index custom-built mobile digital training applications spanning programs such as underground electric, substation, field communications, gas maintenance, and corrosion prevention. The effort represents a scalable, long-term model for workforce development that preserves institutional knowledge, enhances safety, and supports continuous learning.
