Index AR Solutions announces addition of seasoned executive Scott Sommers to management team

Williamsburg, Virginia — Index AR Solutions is pleased to announce the addition of Scott Sommers to the key position of Vice President of Client and Corporate Development.

Sommers brings to Index an extensive background in banking, finance and corporate development, including working at an executive level for a number of West Coast firms and as a consultant in the energy and telecommunications industries.

Index President and CEO Dan Arczynski said the entire team is excited to have Sommers on board and leading the firm’s client and corporate development efforts.

“With Scott on board, Index will accelerate growth in 2017,” Arczynski said. “Scott shares our passion of making workers more capable, more productive and more valuable when using our Index augmented reality solutions.”

Sommers said he was drawn to Index for a number of reasons, including the company’s custom augmented reality solutions for enterprise and the management team of Arczynski, Executive Vice President and COO Dexter Lilley and Director of Operations John Arczynski. The firm’s intellectual capital is enormous and it’s the leading U.S. company offering augmented reality solutions on an enterprise basis, Sommers said.

“I decided to join Index because of the combination of the management team and the technology,” Sommers said. “I think there’s a real need and a demand for this technology, especially in the energy sector. More importantly, Dan and John and Dexter are people I like and enjoy immensely, but I also respect their business acumen.”

Sommers said the future at Index is very bright. The company is poised to help firms across a spectrum of industries, including energy and utilities, shipbuilding, manufacturing, construction, supply chain and others, become more efficient and profitable.

“But more importantly, we’re helping the average American worker become more efficient at his job and more valuable and at the end of the day, that’s what augmented reality makes happen,” Sommers said.

Sommers has previously worked in corporate management at firms that include SureWest Communications, Cantor Fitzgerald, Mellon Financial Services, KBC and UBS. Summers obtained his Bachelor’s degree in history and psychology from the University of Iowa and a Master’s of International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management.
